I look forward to all the picnics and adventures, all the new people I’ll meet. But! With that and all the planning and what not that’s been happening, I’ve sadly slacked on posting the daily songs.

THE SUMMER MIX TAPE: Day Two, Three, & Four | “One Night In Bangkok” by Murray Head, “Contact High” by Architecture In Helsinki, and “In The Sun” by She & Him

Ah life, how it gets in the way. My sincerest apologies for being a couple of days behind on the mix tape. I’ve been making a list of songs, just the days fly by (already!) and I haven’t had a moment to sit down, write a little thing, and post it on up.

These past few days have been busy and a whirlwind of awesome. Let me just say it now, this summer is going to be epic and this afternoon just confirmed it. So many adventures and surprises and amazing things are bound to happen (and are being planned to) and I’m not sure if I’m patient enough.
It’ll be a summer full of meeting friends from afar, reconnecting with old ones, visiting new places, starting new moments with majestic people, and just a bundle of wonderful memories to be had.

So lets get down to the songs, days two through four and allow the summer air to lift you up and whisk you away to a whole new world.

DAY TWO: “One Night In Bangkok” by Murray Head

DAY THREE: “Contact High” by Architecture In Helsinki

DAY FOUR: “In The Sun” by She & Him

Take me back to the nineties, but bring my friends too. We can dress like the characters from Clueless, swap mix tapes, and it’ll be totally rad.

Time to take a trip to Pandora

As some of you might not know or may already have an inkling about, I myself am a gamer of sorts. I play on a selection of mediums and with a lovely group of individuals I might add, but back to the main topic at hand.

Music in games, for me, can either make or break the game. The auditorial components to any game is key in adding atmosphere, mood, emotion, intensity, suspense, and a whole variety of things. There are games I can listen to the entire orchestral soundtrack (BioShock, Fallout 3, etc) and feel as though you’re right there in the game, whether your walking down the street or sitting on the train into work. If an opening sequence to a game gives me the chills, grasps me in heart and soul, then it’s a keeper.

One such game as hinted at in the title is the badassest, kickassable game around :: Borderlands 2!

Late night snowfalls

Right at this moment, I’m sipping some orange pekoe tea and watching an old episode of Friends. Because I can’t sleep I thought I’d share some tunes to get through this sleepless time. Snow is falling outside and there will be a potential lack of cars on the roads tomorrow, here we go..
