Not every day is the weather at a perfect balance, not too breezy and not too scorching hot. There’s a little bit of a psychedelic feel in the air. A fluidity and movement unknown and known at the same time. Something there that wasn’t there before.

From the very beginning, Little Comets has amazed and brought musical delight to me. The first time I heard “Tricolour” off their initial album, “In Search of Elusive Little Comets”, I fell in love 100% and all thanks to someone near and dear to me. But back to Little Comets!
Their newest album compliments the changing of the seasons into warmer and sunnier days perfectly. The fluidity of the songs is key and spot on throughout the record, filling your veins with positive vibes; making you feel buoyant with cheerful-happy-wonderfulness. While not all the songs have such an upbeat subject basis, the songs themselves, the melodies and tempo and overall structure of them create a lovely tune in your ears. From the lyrics to the notes and everything in between, it truly is a ‘gift of sound’ for you.
Very few musicians nowadays are able to create an album where every song is likeable in its own regard, but Little Comets has done it, and while I have difficulty in choosing just one favourite, some ones I suggest to listen to straight away include, “My Boy William”, “The Gift of Sound”, and “Wherewithal”. But in reality, I love the entire album, and I do suggest listening to the whole album from start to finish first because you will not be disappointed.

There are good moments then minutes of hiding away. Times of sadness and days of sunshine. All we wish is not to be forgotten and to become what we always hoped.

While it may be raining outside, don’t let the drizzle upon your windowsill stop you from kicking back and enjoying the spring time air. I find when it rains out, it’s nice to just sit back, relax, grab a book, and listen to the rain fall. There’s something distinctly calming about it.

Because what’s summer time without Vampire Weekend. Get up, shake out your arms and legs, and let the music encompass you. Grab my hand and don’t look back, a wave of adventure is on our way and there’s no stopping now. Jump up, jump down, and move all around. The positive vibes are flowing and the future is full of good feeling. The only hope for me is you. What is life without the people that complete it?
With each new moment comes a new memory. The warm weather brings a new sense of urgency, a new sense of excitement into our lives. A feeling we can’t ignore and will bring into the rest of our lives. For it is these months that beginnings are born and life long bonds are created.
So follow my footsteps, listen to my words, and let your mind sore. For we are meant to be here. In this moment, in this second, together, a minute apart, a lifetime locked.
Lets tessellate. Lets go on adventures and stay up until the wee hours of the morning. Lets lay under the stars. Lets wonder what our purpose is. Lets hold hands. Lets eat our favourite foods and try new things. Lets collapse into each other’s arms and never let go.
“Triangles are my favourite shape, Three points where two lines meet, Toe to toe, back to back, let’s go, my love; it’s very late, ‘Til morning comes, let’s tessellate”
Create moments that will be unforgettable. A look, a glances, a hand, a graze, a touch. Everything whirl winding, building up to the moment patience has struggled to obtain and when it arrives, let the flood gates open.
For who knows what the future holds, but the excitement is overbearing and time for the first in forever can’t fly by fast enough.
